Kenton railway station, later known as Kenton Bank, is a closed railway station that was served by the Ponteland Light Railway, operated by the North Eastern Railway. It was located close to what is now the B6918.〔(Disused Stations website )〕 == History ==
The station was opened on 1 June 1905 and was closed to passengers on 17 June 1929. It remained open for goods traffic until 3 January 1966 although from 20 May 1954 it was downgraded to a public delivery siding. It was demolished in 1973 and replaced in 1981 by Bank Foot Metro station.〔
